Delta PDP Set to Take Campaign to the Grassroots.

The majority of Nigeria’s over 200 million people live in rural areas of Nigeria.

Therefore, any politician who’s worth his or her salt and who intends to interact with the majority of the people, as well as carry them along, must go to the rural areas where the people live.

This informed the wise decision of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, at the national level to propound that its campaign strategy for the forthcoming general election in 2023 should be Ward-to-Ward driven.

The grassroots campaign which would be from ward to ward is billed to cover all 270 wards in the 25 local government areas of Delta State before the end of the electioneering campaign.

This thorough homework of meeting the people one-on-one and convincing them genuinely is a new system that is destined to work magic, for the reason mentioned in the first paragraph above.

Because of the new system’s chances of succeeding, other political parties in Delta State, including the main opposition party in the state, the All Progressives Congress, APC, are most likely to copy the workable format.

But no matter how much of this good format and example APC may decide to copy, it can never do it better than PDP, because if it is not PDP, it can’t be the same as PDP!

Again, it is proverbially known that a man who borrows soap to take his or her bath may never have a cleaner bath than the person who lent him/her the soap.
